Oh baby, if there is one thing Atlanta is going to do, it is keep the tea hot and the shade fully charged. And this time, the spotlight is back on Marlo Hampton, who clearly did not come to play nice or keep it cute. Now let’s get into it, because Marlo stepped onto Cam Newton’s Funky Friday podcast and let those thoughts fly with zero filter and even less hesitation. Years after her exit from The Real Housewives of Atlanta, she is still very much tapped into the drama and apparently still holding onto a few receipts.
When Porsha Williams’ name came up, Marlo wasted absolutely no time setting the tone. Flat out, no seasoning, no garnish, just straight truth as she sees it. She said she does not like her and called her a hater and complicated. And honestly, the way she said it, you could tell this is not new energy. This is built up, layered, and marinated over time.
According to Marlo, the tension really hit a peak when talks of casting for season 16 were happening. She claims Porsha was one of the main people pushing against her return, and that did not sit right with her at all. Because in Marlo’s world, you do not block anybody’s blessings, especially when it comes to securing a check. And that part right there, a lot of folks in the culture are going to agree with.
But Marlo did not stop there. She took it a step further and said the real issue is accountability. In her eyes, she is the one who asks the questions others might avoid, and not everybody is comfortable with that kind of energy. She made it clear she believes Porsha prefers to control the narrative, and Marlo is simply not the one to let that slide.
Now when it comes to Bravo allegedly going along with all of this, Marlo seemed just as confused as the rest of us. She suggested that Porsha may have sold the network a dream, painting a picture of a lavish lifestyle, a husband, and a big house moment that did not exactly come together the way it was pitched. And with real life stepping in, including a divorce and limitations on what could be shown, Marlo hinted that things did not quite deliver.
And because Marlo is going to Marlo, she did not stop at just one target. Kenya Moore caught a stray too, or maybe not even a stray because Marlo aimed that one directly. She called her a hater, said she goes too far, and even labeled some of her behavior as disgusting. But in a rare moment of reflection, Marlo did admit that the entire cast, herself included, has crossed lines, which ultimately led to Bravo shaking things up behind the scenes.
At the end of the day, this is exactly why The Real Housewives of Atlanta stays in the conversation. The drama does not clock out when the cameras stop rolling. And Marlo Hampton just proved that even off the show, she is still very much ready to clock in, speak up, and stir the pot like only she can.
And one thing about it, whether you love her or side eye her, you are definitely going to listen when she talks
